About this rotate, reorder & delete pdf pages

This tool lets you rotate, reorder, duplicate and delete PDF pages, then save the result as a new PDF. You see every page as a thumbnail, so you can fix a sideways scan or drop a blank page in a few clicks.

The rotation is saved in the file itself. That's the difference from turning a page in your PDF reader, which only changes the view and is gone the next time you open it.

Everything runs in your browser. The PDF is never uploaded, and there's no account, task limit or watermark. Made a mistake? Undo goes back one step at a time.

Features

  • Rotate one page or all of them

Each page has rotate left and right buttons. Rotate all left or right fixes a whole scan at once, and the thumbnails turn as you click.

  • Reorder by drag or by button

Drag a page onto another to move it there. Every page also has earlier and later buttons, which work with a keyboard and on touch screens.

  • Delete and duplicate

Remove blank, private or extra pages. Duplicate a page when you need it twice, like a terms page after each section.

  • Bulk actions on a selection

Tick pages or use All, Odd and Even, then rotate or delete them together. Odd and Even are handy for double-sided scans where every back page came out upside down.

  • Undo history

Every change can be undone with the Undo button or Ctrl+Z. Reset goes back to the original order and rotation.

  • Keeps what's inside the file

Pages are rearranged inside the original document instead of being copied into a blank one. Bookmarks, links, form fields and document info stay in place.

How to use the rotate, reorder & delete pdf pages

  1. 1Choose a PDF. Each page shows as a thumbnail.
  2. 2Rotate, drag or move, duplicate or delete pages. Undo with Ctrl+Z.
  3. 3Click Save PDF and download the new file.

When to use it

  • Fixing scanned documents

Phone scanning apps and office scanners often save a page or two sideways. Rotate those pages and save before you send the file on.

  • Removing pages before sharing

Take out a page with personal details, a blank separator or an internal note before sending a document to a client.

  • Putting a combined file in order

After you merge several PDFs into one, drag the pages into the order you need instead of starting over.

  • Preparing pages for print

Duplicate a cover, move an appendix to the end, and rotate a wide table page so it prints the right way.

How do I rotate a PDF and save it permanently?

Every PDF page has a rotation value, set in steps of 90 degrees. The PDF standard (ISO 32000) stores it as the page's Rotate entry. Viewers read that value to decide which way up to show the page.

When you click rotate here and save, the tool changes that value in the file. The text and images on the page aren't redrawn or recompressed, so nothing loses quality. Open the saved file anywhere and the page stays the way you set it.

Turning a page in a viewer usually changes only your screen. Unless you save with a tool that writes the new value, the page opens sideways again next time.

Why does my PDF keep opening sideways?

Usually the scanner or phone app saved the page with the wrong rotation value, or laid a landscape page out as portrait. Some apps also rotate the image inside the page instead of the page itself.

Either way, the fix is the same. Rotate the page here until the thumbnail looks right, then save. What you see in the thumbnail is what every reader will show.

What happens to bookmarks and links?

Because the pages stay inside the original document, bookmarks and internal links keep pointing at the same pages after you reorder them. A link to a page you deleted simply stops working, and readers ignore it.

If you only need some pages as a separate file, split the PDF instead. That leaves the original untouched.

Questions

How do I rotate just one page in a PDF?

Click the rotate button on that page's thumbnail, then Save PDF. Only that page turns. The others keep their orientation.

Is the rotation permanent?

Yes. The new rotation is written into the file, so the page opens the right way up in every PDF reader, on any device.

How do I rearrange pages in a PDF without Acrobat?

Open the PDF here and drag the thumbnails into the order you want, or use the arrow buttons on each page. Then save and download the new file.

How do I delete pages from a PDF?

Click the ✕ on each page you want gone, or tick several pages and use Delete. Save to get a PDF without them. At least one page has to stay.

Does rotating or reordering reduce quality?

No. The page content isn't redrawn or recompressed. Only the page order and rotation values change, so text stays sharp and searchable.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The thumbnails are drawn and the new PDF is built in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Dragging may not work on every phone browser, so use the earlier and later buttons on each page to reorder instead.

Why can't I open my PDF here?

It's probably password-protected or restricted. Remove the protection in the app that made it, or print it to a new PDF, then try again.
